Villas Douro are the perfect base to experience the upper Douro Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built by a Port Wine producer during the 19th century and opened as a luxury hotel in July 2007, the property is a beautiful blend of traditional architecture and contemporary design. Its blissful atmosphere is achieved through its location – overlooking the flowing waters of the Douro River – its design a result of the ambitious collaboration of eminent Portuguese architects and designers, and its refined décor with carefully chosen materials and original art objects brought back from travels throughout Asia.

There are 21 beautifully decorated villas for private holidays and this luxury manor house is also hosting a stylish 2200m2 spa.

The villas are a good option both for individual, group and short holidays. Its proximity to Oporto (one hour by car), the second largest city in Portugal, with an international airport with good connections to the whole European market, is a major advantage. We can arrange a private shuttle to pick up passengers from the airport and we have created a set of packages with activities ranging from wine tastings, river boat tours, gourmet dinners, hiking and cycling, beauty treatments, among others.

Villas are self catered and fully equipped. We can organize to have a chef in the villas or deliver items from the menu restaurant, previously chosen by the guests or even room service.

The villas guests are full guests of the hotel. They have the same services in the villas as hotel guests (wifi, twice-day housekeeping, water upon arrival) and may use all the hotel facilities (pools, gardens, spa, tennis-court, restaurants, woods).

1 bedroom villas :
Space and exclusivity are the main features of this villa. It includes a four-posted or a king-size bed. One room en-suite with a double sink and a WC. Fully equipped kitchen. Separate shower and tub. Some villas have private plunge pool whilst others share a pool with four other villas.

2 bedroom villas :
Space and privacy in a unique villa with a four-posted bed and a king-size bed. Two bedrooms en-suite with a double sink and a WC. Fully equipped kitchen. Separate shower and bathtub. Some villas have their own private plunge pool whilst others share it with other villas.

2 bedroom triplex villas :
On the river bank, this villa has three floors, a private pool, a deck and an outdoor fireplace overlooking the dormant river. Four-posted, king-size or twin beds are available. 3 WC’s and a double sink. Separate shower and bathtub. Fully equipped kitchen. Private parking with direct access to the villa.
