Nestled in the Essaouira countryside, on the edge of an argan forest, Domaine Tifaou comprises two exceptional villas – independent yet neighbouring, separated by walls and fences, yet sharing the same spirit of the Moroccan good life. Villa 1 is a single-storey residence with an ‘ethnic chic’ ambience, comprising a main house and an adjoining pavilion, offering a total of five bedrooms. Villa 2, with its cosy décor enhanced by deep reds, offers three bedrooms.
The Domaine Tifaou thus offers great flexibility in terms of rental options: Villa 1 can be rented on its own for a five-bedroom stay, or combined with Villa 2 to enjoy the entire estate as an eight-bedroom property – an ideal arrangement for large families or groups of friends wishing to get together whilst maintaining their respective privacy.
Bedrooms
Villa 1 has five bedrooms: three in the main villa and two in the adjoining pavilion.
Villa 2, meanwhile, has three comfortable bedrooms.

Indoors
Although the two villas are separate, they share the same aim of creating spacious and welcoming living areas, where authentic Moroccan style blends with a decidedly cosy comfort.
Villa 1:
It exudes a warm, chic ethnic atmosphere from the moment you step inside. The house features a sunken living room in typical Moroccan style, complete with an open fire, as well as a pool table for guests to relax and socialise. A pleasant dining room, which can seat up to twelve people, completes this spacious living area, ideal for large gatherings.
Villa 2:
It stands out for its characterful décor, punctuated by touches of deep red and bathed in abundant light. The living room, which opens onto the garden and swimming pool through large bay windows, charms with its generous proportions and cosy atmosphere around an open fire. The dining room, seamlessly integrated into the living areas and adjoining the open-plan kitchen, seats up to eight guests.
Outdoors
Although separated by fences and walls, both properties each offer lush and spacious outdoor settings, allowing guests to fully enjoy the relaxed lifestyle of the Essaouira countryside, whether the estate is rented as a single villa or as two separate villas.
Villa 1:
It features a magnificent private swimming pool which can be heated* (12 x 8m – Depth: 1.7m), surrounded by two cosy lounges, as well as a spacious terrace with a table shaded by a superb olive tree, perfect for convivial meals. At the rear of the house, a pétanque court is complemented by a cosy seating area in the shade of a majestic ficus tree, providing an additional setting for relaxation.
Villa 2:
It features a terrace sheltered by an elegant wooden pergola, adjoining the pool which can be heated* (10 x 5m – Depth: 1.4m), with a large table seating up to eight people. The swimming pool is complemented by a comfortable outdoor seating area and a raised sun deck, perfect for relaxing in the sunshine. The villa also has its own pétanque court.
*Between November and March, the swimming pools can be heated on request and at an additional cost (per pool per week).
Pool 1: from €250 per week.
Pool 2: from €200 per week.
Staff & Services
The estate benefits from the attentive service of a team comprising a villa manager, a cook/housekeeper (who does a bit of daily cleaning) and a gardener.
For your meals, the following option is available:
- "En liberté" option (breakfast, lunch, dinner): You pay the cost of the shopping plus a flat rate per person per meal. The staff will therefore take care of the shopping and cook using the ingredients purchased.
Notes:
- The cook’s working hours: 8.00 am to 5.00 pm. If you have requested dinner to be prepared: as the staff leave the premises at 5.00 pm, you will be responsible for reheating it yourselves.
- Shopping: this can be done by you or by the staff. If the staff take care of it, the shopping will be done at the local grocer’s (the total bill must be paid to the grocer).
- The staff will not purchase alcohol or speciality items (French products or otherwise). For these types of purchases, you will need to visit the major retailers yourselves.
