Room 1
Room, 1st floor. This bedroom has 1 double bed. Bathroom ensuite, with shower. WC in the bathroom. This bedroom includes also air conditioning, fireplace, dressing room.
Room 2
Room, 1st floor. This bedroom has 1 double bed. Bathroom shared, with 2 washbasins, shower. WC in the bathroom. This bedroom includes also air conditioning, fireplace, dressing room.
Room 3
Room, 1st floor. This bedroom has 2 single bed. Bathroom shared, with 2 washbasins, shower. WC in the bathroom. This bedroom includes also air conditioning, dressing room.
Note : possibility to place up to 2 extra beds in cases of children who can sleep in the parents' room (at extra cost).
Indoors
On the ground floor you will find three load-bearing wall bays and an Extremadura vault, opening on the entrance square and on the garden where stands the swimming pool. The living room, the dining room and the fully equipped kitchen are on this floor. The 4th bedroom is on the ground floor as well as a bathroom.
The decoration of the inside is quite traditionnal with baked clay floor, local potters, carpentry work but with modern amenities for your comfort.
The first floor is composed of the three bedrooms with two bathrooms with showers. This floor has been reorganized but kept its unique antique character in terms of furniture and scale.
Outdoors
The swimming pool is visible only from the house, and accessible only from the living room. You will enjoy tranquility and intimity as there is no one to see you relaxing.
The streets around the villa are quiet and safe.
Location
The tourism in Extremadura is architectural, cultural and historical. Indeed, around the villa you have old cities showing how the different civilizations lived in the Neolithic time, through the Roman Empire, in Arab period, and even in Middle Ages. The city of Merida has the best preserved Roman heritages in the Iberian Peninsula.
Nature lovers will love the beauty of the wild nature of the region with several path for hikers and bikers.
Another kind of tourism is the gastro wine tourism. Extremadura is second biggest wine region producer in Spain. Close to Villalba there are many wineries, as well as a small production inside the house. You have the possibility to discover the transformation of grape juice into wine during August and September.
Villalba is known for its ancient old castle tower, that is a fortified building of the Spanish Reconquista times.
