Location

The property is set in 1.5 acres (6,000m²) of jungle on the South coast of Sri Lanka. The design brief was to create large, light and open living spaces with a “wow” factor. The built up area of the villa is about 20,000 sqft (1,850m²) so there is plenty of space to either sit together or escape the crowd with a book.
There is an existing cottage set below the villa, recently renovated for the owners private use and storage.

The property is remote and there is not much in the way of local bars and restaurants along this stretch of coastline which makes Villa Karama ideal for a get away from it all holiday. Those seeking brighter lights may therefore find this property restrictive.


Notes

There are several beaches near the property the closest being our beautiful bay overlooked from the house and only a 100m walk from the main gate. There is a fantastic year round swimming beach at Dondra just 10 minutes walk away or Talalla Bech which is about a 10 minute Tuk Tuk ride.
For larger parties there is also 4 folding beds and 1 cot.
