A lovely house set in approx 2 acres of garden with four ensuite bedrooms enjoying a South facing elevated position leading onto a small horseshoe bay with seasonal swimming and boogie boarding. The beach is accessed via the private gate and is a short 15 yard stroll.
Villa Nayani was designed by a leading architect (Amila De Mel) who worked with the late, and great, Geoffrey Bawa for many years. Constructed in 2008 the house being modern and minimalist in style, keeping in mind certain chracteristics of vernacular architecture, is set on elevated gardens among coconut palms and has direct access to the beach below.
The built up area is almost 7,000 sq feet - out of which 1,500 sq feet is open verandahs - and the villa consists of two buildings. A single story house of linear design consisting of an ensuite double bedroom, a sitting room / study, the kitchens and has a wide open verandah running its full length at one end of which sits the family dining table.
The second building is a two story villa containing the remaining 3 ensuite bedrooms. The master suite is upstairs and has access to a private sun deck that overlooks the gardens and out to sea. The remaining ensuite bedrooms - a double and a twin bed room - are on the ground floor and have French windows that lead to the garden.
The plot size is approx 1.5 acres and slopes down to the sea. The view from the villa is as lovely as it is unique. The gardens are large enough and the view is spectacular enough for weddings to be held.

Beautiful, very clean house, tastefully decorated. Very nice garden.
Large swimming pool , close distance to the beach where you can find small restaurants. We really appreciated our Chef Kurmara, who was helpful and available. He was preparing our meals every day according to our tastes using local products. Other Staff members were very discreet and always ready to help.
