The two homes are close enough to be enjoyed together by larger groups, up to 14 guests, though both are walled in and separated by about 100 metres of mature gardens for privacy apart. All of the culinary and other additional services offered at the Villa Lodge are also available at the Pavillon de chasse Carligto, making a perfect venue for reunions and serviced celebrations for any occasion.

Interior:
The interior of the newly renovated property reveals a somewhat bohemian style with art deco furniture, local art and modern touches adorning a light and airy 100 square metre open plan living space. At one end lies the fully equipped gourmet kitchen with an attached dining room looking to the valley below and the Mediterranean Sea beyond. Central to the living space is a cosy fireplace, cocktail bar and high-tech entertainment system, including a videogame system. Along with the fireplace, underfloor heating and air conditioning throughout the villa ensure comfort for all seasons, while solar panels and a highly efficient heat pump system ensure a minimal carbon footprint.
Though all three bedrooms are supremely comfortable, each en-suite and one with a private sitting room, the master bedroom suite is pure luxury. Here you’ll find a spacious marble clad bathroom with both a large bath and separate shower room, television entertainment system and a private covered terrace and garden with sun loungers for taking in the south facing views over the Mediterranean.
Surrounding the house are mature gardens with swathes of vibrant bougainvillea and further terraces, courtyards and a gated, heated swimming pool. The courtyard that greets guests upon entering opens onto a commodious outdoor kitchen and dining terrace complete with a Gaudi-inspired fireplace, barbeque and built in bread oven.
A second, more intimate courtyard doubles as a shady outdoor living room, centred around a palm cluster nestled behind the house with a covered day bed and leading up to the open pool terrace with panoramic views of mountain and sea. From here steps lead up to yet another covered lounge terrace with yet more breathtaking views from above the property and a formal meditation garden beyond.

Villa Carligto
An enclosed leafy courtyard greets visitors upon entry with a fountain and shaded pergola facing the majestic peak of Maroma above. Built-in benches and outdoor furniture provide comfortable seating in this tranquil space cradled by the back half of the building. Beyond the courtyard, the kitchen opens onto a small herb garden along the side of the house, which leads to the front terrace with a covered outdoor dining area including a table to seat 10.
From this terrace a set of stairs lead down to the pool area (the only way to access the pool), with 'top-of-theworld' views toward the sea and maintained gardens all around, a covered summer kitchen with built-in barbecue, marble dining table, sun lounges, and a water garden on another terraced area beyond the pool.
The front dining terrace also leads around to the south side, with a landscape design with modern flair providing a pleasant, grassy play space for smaller children. Aside this garden is a smaller table for four, perfect for sunny morning breakfasts or afternoon tea in the garden. Further along on this south-side and therefore sunniest of terraces, the garden leads back to the master bedroom terrace, with parasol shaded seating and an open air shower.
Access to this area can be restricted to ensure that those staying in the master bedroom have private use. All on one level, the Villa Lodge has wood-beam ceilings and terra-cotta floors with underfloor heating and air-conditioning throughout. All bathrooms contain bronze taps and basins, and bronze shower fittings; all bath and shower walls are in local marble.

A small entrance hall opens onto the main living room with fireplace and WiFi access. Kitchen/dining-room, seating up to 8, with fireplace and Lacanche gourmet range cooker. Fully stocked Kitchen with Siemens appliances including American-style refrigerator/freezer with ice maker and filtered water dispenser.

1 master bedroom, with 160 cm bed and another Suzani tapestry, also has double doors opening onto a private terrace garden, complete with sea views, shaded sun lounges and an open-air shower. The master bathroom has a large enclosed (hammam-style) tub with shower and is connected to the master bedroom through a short arched corridor.
Further down the corridor is another W/C, and a utility closet with washing machine. Beyond, the corridor exits into the courtyard gallery, off of which sit the library and drawing room. The library is a naturally well-lit reading room with a well stocked wall full of book shelves and comfortable seating. A travertine-marble desk serves as a work space here with WiFi and other office facilities. From one side, the library opens directly to the center of the courtyard and to the other side an enclosed lounge terrace with HD satellite television and PlayStation3 video game system. This terrace shares a door with the adjacent drawing room terrace, a large, open (shaded) terrace with views to the sea and an oversized open fireplace. The attached drawing room shares the chimney for an indoor/outdoor fireplace, creating the appearance of a combined indoor/outdoor living space. The drawing room, with pantry and fridge, is decorated with Spanish antiques and a Chesterfield sofa for a sophisticated wind-down at the end of the evening.
